Been doing woodworking on a regular basis since about 1997ish. I grew up next door to my grandparents, and grandpa was a very seasoned woodworker. So i've been playing with the art since I was old enough to hold a hammer. (since the 70's, mann i'm getting old)

Anyway I hope you like my stuff let me know if you have any questions or comments, good or bad I like them all, they help you grow as an artist.

Also If your interested I dable a bit in glass, so check out my gallery on the partner site glassartist.org.

Have a great day Doug

Sword

Sword

Something i've wanted to try for years, and i finally found the time. Lots of mistakes (mostly cuz i was in a hurry). But now i have the hang of it and got a few more in my head to get done.

The cat head thing was carved with dremel out of cypris then painted and dichroic eyes added.

Handle and cross gaurd are lacewood, and the blade mineralized cherry, with some red glass blobs inset.

Stand was just plain old MDF then painted, hope you like it. With the stand its about 18" tall.

The door table

The door table

Made this table for a client to use as a photo layout table. She wanted me to use an old door that came out of our state capitol building. So thats the top. I trimmed it up with bird eye maple and the bottom shelf is a fairly high figured birch piece. Cut the legs outta pine and inset the pieces back in, with a different stain to give them the contrast your see.

Hope you enjoy... Doug
